The Housemaid by Freida McFadden was recommended to me by many readers on my Tell Me What You’re Reading Tuesday post every week. I’m only a fan of thrillers if they’re not too scary. I knew this one would end okay because I saw there was a sequel.
This book is told from three POVs, first from Millie, the housemaid, then from Nina, Millie’s employer, and then finally a culmination, if you will. It was fun to see what the characters were thinking during each of their parts, especially as to why they were acting as they were.
I saw most of the twists coming but it didn’t hinder my reading experience. This book oozes crazy and makes the reader not sure who to trust. The gardener was an interesting character too. I could see him getting his own book.
Fans of domestic thrillers will eat this one up!
