Drive Me Home by Carly Robyn – Audio
Book Blurb:
Charlotte Walker’s at an impasse in life. Not sure what her plan is after graduation, she jumps at the chance for a little breathing room to explore her options while traveling the world with her brother and his Formula 1 team. What’s even better is being around Lucas Adler, AlphaVite Racing’s star driver and tattooed Greek god come to life. He’s been her crush for years and being together in such close quarters, their sizzling chemistry can’t be denied.
Lucas knows Charlotte is off-limits. She’s the gorgeous younger sister of his best friend and teammate. Despite their easy banter and draw to one another, he’s learned the hard way that crossing lines can destroy relationships. Now as constant companions on the road, Charlotte, with her charm and infectious energy, challenges him at every turn and sees him in ways no one ever has.
As feelings grow, they both must decide if their relationship is worth the risk of losing everything or if their happily ever after is a prize to be fought for at the finish line.
My Review: 5 stars
Drive Me Home by Carly Robyn is definitely my favorite in this three-book series that follows different Formula 1 Drivers. The fact that this one features a Type 1 Diabetic character was incredible as the author was able make living with this silent disease relatable to the reader. Thank you, Carly Robyn, for that gift. It makes anyone with Diabetes feel seen.
This story centers around Charlotte and Lucas. Charlotte is 100% off limits as she is Lucas’s best friend’s little sister. Lucas is falling hard for Charlotte but knows that her brother will completely lose it if she starts dating the tattooed, stylish and sexy Lucas Adler. Their banter is spicy, funny and so realistic. I just loved these characters.
It was great to see Blake, Ella, Josie and Theo make cameos in the book. The story stands alone however it’s always fun to know characters from the prior books.
If you’re looking for a fun, sexy, and spicy read with not only diabetic representation but also having a Jewish male character made this a winner for me. Perfect for summer!
Quotes I liked:
Do you want me to spell it out for you? Tattoo it on my chest? I like you, Charlotte Grace Walker. I like you so damn much that somewhere along the way, I fell in love with you. And even if you don’t want to be mine, I’ll always be yours.”
