Room by Emma Donoghue – 321 pages
Book Blurb:
Told entirely in the language of the energetic, pragmatic five-year-old Jack, “Room” is a celebration of resilience and the limitless bond between parent and child, a brilliantly executed novel about what it means to journey from one world to another.

I loved this book. What an absolutely novel (no pun intended) idea to write about. I credit the author for her originality in creating this pint sized narrator and for her ability to conjure up the space they lived in. This book exhibited the mother love that lives within women to protect their children at any cost. It was a story of isolation, abuse and survival. I loved her structure, her stories and her ingenuity to help Jack grow. I would love to see a sequel in five years to find out what happens to little Jacker Jack that I’ve grown to care so much about.
Quote I Liked:
