Wow, summer reading has never been hotter. There’s a plethora of new books out and a crazy amount of you asking for my list! Summer officially starts in 8 days and I’ve picked 10 books (trying to keep it real) to keep you busy!
The Lost Family by Jenna Blum– This is a beautiful story of a family trying to move on while reconciling the past and the present. Blum’s captivating writing tackles the horrors of WW2 and the cost it plays in one’s future.
How to Walk Away by Katherine Center – Heartwarming, moving, romantic, feel good book. Enough said!
A Matter Of Chance by Julie Maloney – This debut novel did not disappoint. What does one do when your young daughter goes missing in the blink of an eye? Emotional mystery about a mother and her daughter.
Somebody’s Daughter by Rochelle B. Weinstein – Social media and social pressures culminate when the first stupid thing you do is caught on tape. This book explores how one act can affect so many lives.
Still Me by Jojo Moyes – I loved book one, barely finished book two and happy to report book three was great. It can also be read as a stand alone. Of course this one concludes with an opportunity for Moyes to write number four.
The Banker’s Wife by Cristina Alger – A powerful banker dies in a plane crash. The young widow delves into why the plane really went down. Good, easy to read mystery that explores the ins and outs of off shore banking.
A Place For Us by Fatima Farheen Mizra – Exquisitely written story that delves beautifully into the lives of a Muslim Indian American family. First imprint from SJP (Sarah Jessica Parker) for Hogarth.
The Good Liar by Catherine McKenzie – A new thriller/mystery about three women whose secrets are shaken to the surface after a Chicago building explodes. Good twists as the women try to keep their secrets safe.
Husbands and Other Sharp Objects by Marilyn Rothstein – A stand alone or sequel to Lift and Separate, this book will have you laughing out loud! Her dialogue is spot on.
Ghosted by Rosie Walsh – “Instalove” romance for a couple that has seemingly found a soulmate in one another. A mystery ensues after one of them “ghosts” the other, and completely falls off the radar.
