My Review: 3 stars
The House Across the Street by Riley Sager was a unique story that pulled me in right from the start. Unfortunately, about halfway through listening, I became disenchanted as the story felt increasingly far-fetched. I am all about oddities and paranormal in fiction, but for some reason this didn’t work for me.
This reminded me a bit of AJ Finn’s The Woman in the Window, but with a paranormal twist. I liked Casey and Katherine’s eventual friendship, but I did not find any of the characters likeable within themselves. I did, however, feel compelled to finish the book as I was curious to see how the author would wrap it up.
