Book Blurb:

Bits and Ash were children when the kidnapping of their younger sister, Alena—an incident for which Ash blames himself—caused an irreparable family rift. Thirteen years later, Ash is living as an Orthodox Jew in Israel, cutting himself off from his mother, Ellie, and his wild-child sister, Bits. But soon he may have to face them again; Alena’s remains have finally been uncovered. Now Bits is traveling across the world in a bold and desperate attempt to bring her brother home and salvage what’s left of their family.

This a great story about a family trying to tie some semblance of their lives back together after their youngest child is kidnapped and then there is a subsequent domino effect things falling apart. The book doesn’t revolve around the kidnapping but instead about the older son who drops out of life as he knows it, moves to Israel and joins a Yeshiva in Jerusalem and converts wholly to becoming an orthodox Jew. His sister goes to Israel to try and understand/rescue (?) her brother and much understanding, growing up and closure follows.
Nice, fast read.
